Frontshop's primary mandate is to help Canadian pharmacists run more successful businesses.
In early fall 2008, Fulcrum Media undertook consumer research that clearly indicates that drugstores are favourably poised in the eyes of consumers both to provide enhanced counselling and services and capture increased share of the consumer shopping basket. In the face of these opportunities, the pharmacy community faces numerous challenges in the dispensary (or backshop) business:
- Diminishing dispensing fee reimbursement and increasing cost of doing business.
- Heightened expectations with respect to patient care provided by pharmacists.
Many pharmacists in Canada have reached a tipping point in how to continue to manage their businesses effectively. The large majority of you will increasingly need to rely on better managed frontshops to prosper.
This is where we come in. As successful multi-channel publishers and educational event producers, Fulcrum Media understands the myriad challenges Canadian pharmacists face.
In addition to publishing four issues of Frontshop in 2009, we are also launching hands-on learning at frontshop university at the Toronto International Centre. Our proprietary research will be the basis for some of the education tracks, and we are partnering with rxBriefCase to provide CE credits at the conference. We have also formed a content partnership with rxBriefCase and rxPASSPORT. Frontshop content appears on the rxPASSPORT portal.
